This position will support the HR Manager with building talent pipelines, running end-to-end recruitment processes for management and specialized positions. To provide prompt and accurate support to employees and managers with Human Resource related queries. Responsible for management of disciplinary processes, ensuring compliance with the company’s code of conduct and procedures. Strong Recruitment and Payroll experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end talent and resourcing processes within agreed timeframes for skilled and Management roles.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective methodologies are used for talent and resourcing employees
  • Liaise and consult with line management with regards to resourcing needs and ideal candidate profiles
  • Formulation and distribution of advertisements through effective channels, specifically the company Careers Centre
  • Ensure screening and vetting processes are done and always ensure background checks are in line with the company’s screening and vetting process.
  • Enhance candidate selection criteria including the alignment of specific job competency frameworks with recruitment and selection processes.
  • Specialist skills and knowledge as well as advanced proficiency in digital platforms and formulate applicant tracking systems.
  • Develop talent pipeline of both internal and external candidates.
  • Liaise with management regarding current employee complement and immediate, mid and long-term succession plans.
  • Induction and Onboarding-make sure all new recruits undergo onboarding with training and department.
  • Conduct competency-based interviews.
  • Liaise with managers and team leaders to ensure vacancies are filled on time, efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaise with the finance department and payroll teams to ensure all employees are paid on time, and correctly and attend to any pay queries.
  • Escalate and keep the HR Manager informed on all pay-related issues and recommend any improvement in the process to increase efficiency in the system.
  • Knowledge of payroll and data inputs, capturing large amounts of data would be an advantage.
  • Disciplinary: managing disciplinary cases and disciplinary hearings promptly
  • Communication with Staff on Lateral transfer movements and Promotion and all company required communications as directed.
  • Manage staff leave and work with Managers and their team leaders and ensure staff take leave when required.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum Degree in Human Resources Management
  • Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management.
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of work experience with a strong background in recruitment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in recruitment across many levels
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • A high level of commitment, motivation and initiative
  • Strong judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Team player, Reliable and excellent communicative skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of all labour related legislation
  • Be able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Excellent in MS Excel Skills
  • Ability to work extended hours when required.
