About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Loan Set Up Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, setting up, and preparing new loan applications for processing within the mortgage pipeline. This role ensures loan files are accurately documented, compliant with company and regulatory requirements, and efficiently transferred to the next stage of the loan lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming loan application packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Input and upload borrower information, loan details, and supporting documentation into the Loan Origination System (LOS).
  • Verify documentation including income, assets, credit reports, and property details.
  • Ensure loan files comply with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements, including TRID and RESPA.
  • Identify missing or inconsistent information and communicate proactively with loan officers, processors, and account executives.
  • Assign loan files to the appropriate account managers or underwriting queues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital loan records.
  • Monitor the loan pipeline to ensure timely setup and handoff of files.
  • Support audit and quality control activities as required.
  • Provide excellent internal customer service to account managers, underwriters, account executives, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, banking, financial services, or a related administrative role is an advantage.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Experience working with loan origination systems (LOS) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
