Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about accuracy? We are looking for a Legal Support Specialist to join our team and play a key role in supporting legal case management processes.

Position Overview

The Legal Support Specialist will be responsible for retrieving, reviewing, and organizing legal documents from e-filing systems. This role ensures all case-related materials are accurately compiled, properly labeled, and recorded according to client and jurisdictional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review pending issued summons lists to identify assigned cases
  • Access e-filing portals and locate cases using client file numbers
  • Navigate case dockets and retrieve required documents, including:
    • Issued summons
    • Complaints
    • Supporting and jurisdiction-specific documents
  • Download, merge, and save files according to client and county specifications
  • Maintain proper naming conventions and digital filing standards
  • Update case information such as assigned judges, court dates, and other relevant details
  • Investigate and resolve missing documentation or discrepancies
  • Maintain organized digital records for easy retrieval and audit purposes

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and court filing systems is an added advantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a legal support, paralegal, or document management role
  • Familiarity with e-filing systems, court portals, or legal case management systems
  • Basic understanding of civil litigation processes and court documentation
  • Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document organization tools
  • Certificate or diploma in Law, Legal Studies, Administration, or a related field (an advantage)
  • Experience with PDF editing tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, document merging and bookmarking tools)
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and legal workflows
