About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Foreclosure Specialist to manage the end-to-end foreclosure process for defaulted mortgage loans. The successful candidate will ensure all foreclosure activities are handled accurately, on time, and in full compliance with applicable laws, investor requirements, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare mortgage documents, title reports, bankruptcy filings, and legal notices for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and investor guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date foreclosure records and case tracking in servicing systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external legal counsel, title companies, borrowers, and vendors
  • Monitor foreclosure timelines and ensure all legal deadlines and SLAs are met
  • Manage a portfolio of foreclosure cases and resolve workflow bottlenecks
  • Oversee third-party vendors including attorneys, trustees, and auctioneers
  • Identify and escalate risks, discrepancies, or delays in the foreclosure process
  • Prepare regular reports, pipeline updates, and foreclosure performance metrics
  • Handle borrower inquiries and assist in resolving foreclosure-related disputes
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance

Key Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage strict deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tracking, reporting, and data management)
  • Experience with document or case management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity when handling sensitive financial/legal information

Preferred Experience

  • Background in mortgage servicing, legal administration, loan processing, or financial operations
  • Familiarity with foreclosure processes or regulatory compliance environments

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Law
    • Business Administration
    • Finance
    • Banking & Finance
    • Risk Management
    • Or any related field
